GETTING STARTED

How Glozz works

From install to your first translation in about five minutes.

1

1. Install the extension

Add Glozz to Chrome (or any Chromium-based browser). The Glozz icon appears in your toolbar — click it any time to open Settings.

2

2. Nothing else to set up

There's no Anthropic account or API key to create — Glozz works the moment it's installed. Every plan, including Free, includes a daily allowance of translations and deep explanations.

3

3. Select text to translate

Highlight a word, sentence, or passage on any page. A popup appears within moments showing the translation and an explanation tailored to the surrounding context.

4

4. Go deeper when you need to

Click "Explain in detail" for a richer explanation — idioms, cultural references, and how this connects to what you've read earlier in the session.

5

5. Build your vocabulary

Save words and phrases as you go. Review them later, organize with tags, export to CSV or JSON, and practice with flashcards.

6

6. Make it yours

Choose your interface language (20 supported), set source/target translation languages from 54 options, and tune highlighting, session memory, and keyboard shortcuts in Settings.

Reading a PDF instead?

Chrome's built-in PDF viewer can't run browser extensions — that's a Chrome limitation, not ours. So we built a PDF reader right into this site: upload a PDF and get the same instant translations and explanations.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need my own API key?

No — AI access is built into every Glozz plan. The Free plan includes a daily allowance of translations and deep explanations; Reader and Scholar raise those limits. You never need to create an Anthropic account or pay for API usage separately.

Does Glozz work on every website?

Glozz works on essentially any page with selectable text — articles, documentation, forums, and most web-based readers, including Google Docs. It does not work inside Chrome's built-in PDF viewer (a Chrome restriction for all extensions) — use the Glozz PDF Reader on this site instead.

Is my reading data stored anywhere?

No. The text you select is sent to Glozz's backend to generate your translation or explanation, but it's never logged or stored. Vocabulary and settings are stored locally in your browser and never leave your device unless you export them.

Can I change the interface language?

Yes — Glozz's interface supports 20 languages with instant switching, including full right-to-left support for Arabic.
