These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Glozz browser extension and the Glozz website, including its PDF Reader ("Glozz", "we", "us"). By installing the extension or using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install the extension or use the website.

1. What Glozz Is

Glozz provides instant translation, context explanations, and a personal vocabulary tool, powered by Anthropic's Claude models via Glozz's own backend, through a browser extension and a companion website with a browser-based PDF reader. No Anthropic account or API key is required — translation and explanation requests are processed using Glozz's own AI access, subject to the daily usage limits of your plan.

2. Usage Limits and Fair Use

Each plan (Explorer/Free, Reader, Scholar) includes a daily allowance of translations and deep explanations, which resets every 24 hours (UTC). Current allowances are shown in Settings and on our pricing page.
We may apply additional limits (for example, an IP-based cap on the Free plan) to deter abuse and ensure fair access for all users.
We may adjust plan allowances from time to time; material reductions to a paid plan's allowance will be communicated in advance where reasonably possible.
You may not attempt to circumvent, inflate, or bypass usage limits through automation, multiple accounts/devices, or other abusive behavior.

3. Subscription Plans

Glozz is offered under the following plans:

Explorer (Free) — limited daily translations and deep explanations, basic session memory, and a capped vocabulary list, at no cost.
Reader — a paid monthly or annual subscription with higher daily limits, unlimited vocabulary, export, flashcards, and usage statistics.
Scholar — a paid monthly or annual subscription with unlimited daily limits, target-language switching, tagging, and a weekly digest, in addition to all Reader features.

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annual) via Paddle until canceled. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date. The same plans and license key apply to both the extension and the website's PDF Reader.

4. License Keys

Upon subscribing, you will receive a license key to activate your plan within the extension and on the Account page of this website. License keys are personal to your subscription and must not be shared, resold, or redistributed. We may revoke a license key that we reasonably believe is being used in violation of these Terms.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use Glozz for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Anthropic's own usage policies;
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent the extension's or website's license validation or usage limits;
Use automated means to abuse, overload, or disrupt Glozz or its supporting services (including the license-validation endpoint and the account-recovery endpoint).

6. Intellectual Property

Glozz's code, design, branding, and documentation are owned by us or our licensors. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the extension and website for their intended purpose.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Glozz is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Translations and explanations are generated by third-party AI models and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. Do not rely on Glozz for legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical decisions.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Glozz and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the extension or website.

9. Termination

You may stop using Glozz at any time by uninstalling the extension, ceasing to use the website, and canceling any active subscription. We may suspend or terminate access to paid features for accounts that violate these Terms, subject to the refund rights described in our Refund Policy.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Glozz after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Glozz's operating entity is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
